Jake became the Chairman of the Madison Pacific Group in 2017 to guide the group’s international expansions.
Jake has over 40 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Madison Pacific, he was the Deputy Group Chief Risk Officer at Standard Chartered Bank (“SCB”). Jake has sat on the Boards of Directors of SCB's various Asian subsidiaries, including Hong Kong, China, Korea, Taiwan and Malaysia, and continues to do so for both Hong Kong and China. He was responsible for approval and oversight of the bulk of SCB’s largest and most complex transactions and counterparty exposures. Jake was previously SCB’s Group Head of Special Assets Management, the corporate restructuring and workout division, and consistently functioned as the bank’s “designated trouble shooter” on a wide variety of matters. Jake worked at SCB for 17 years and has spent over 30 years in Asia.
Prior to joining SCB, Jake held a variety of senior management positions at Citicorp/Citibank and Westpac Banking Corporation in various countries.
Jake received his MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business, a Master of Science Degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University. He speaks English and Mandarin.
